Minni Minnie Mouse

When Janea, my sister made a big deal about my niece being Minnie Mouse for Halloween (had to keep it a secret, it could be stolen…the idea). I rolled my eyes she is so over the top, but weeks before Hollow’s Eve I was demanding that she, David and Lily have a photo shoot(go figure.) The outfit with matching shoes, and ears too cute! Grammie was even coming over for the shoot.

So for the last couple of hours I have feverishly been working on a couple of images.

It all worked out some friends stopped by and my sister, who hates to be in pictures even joined in the picture fun! She even took some great pictures of Lily, Grammie and I. Enjoy…no I didn’t plan to dress like Lily it just happened but we are cute:)

Maybe next year I’ll…I think I'll keep that idea for next year:)

Beautiful Family*Great Friends

I met Cassie in the 2nd grade and Geoff in the 5th there are so many stories...many which are true about our childhood adventures. I lost touch with Cassie after the 6th grade and Geoff the 10th amazingly the sometimes cheesy social networking site myspace brought us back together. They are both talented and kind people who remind me of a time when, my most important concern was chocolate milk day:)

It was a pleasure and an honor to spend the day with friends doing what I love, photography and socializing! As I am sure you have realized Eli is adorable and for the most part he is just that happy about all of the time. Thank you Geoff, Cassie and Eli for letting me be apart of your life and letting my lens be there for it all.

Yes Geoff and Cassie are sweethearts who met as children and married later on in life it’s an amazingly beautiful story.

Angels or Amigas

This weekend the Amigas where together to shoot a wedding (go team Aida)!!! Stressful, exciting and a rush all accurately describe a wedding. We always have fun when we are together, and we are each other support system.

Weddings are fun no matter what the stress; dancing, love and beauty (not in that order). The decorations where amazing, the couple gorgeous and her dress amazing, with an exception of the rain it went off without a hitch. Even so the bride was amazing and kept her cool through it all.I've never met a more attentive bridal party.

We took pictures before and after of ourselves, I must admit we don’t look as spry at the end:)

I know the bags are soooo cute! They are actually lens bags...it’s more than fashion:)

Be well

Z

Migraine Nation Can't Stop Me!

Unfortunately I belong to the “migraine nation” and have not been as creative as I liked to be, but I have still seen my girls. We have a very original name for ourselves the “3 Amigas” the two other photographers are Lorena and Aida .We met at Aida’s flower shop Motion Picture Flowers and photographed some gorgeous flower bouquets.

Whatever your career it’s good to have a core group of people that you can share ideas with, and have a support system. There is enough business out there for all of us, I also believe you reap what you sow.

As for those of you who may suffer from migraines my heart truly goes out to you, what ever works for you do it! Those of you who live with migraine suffers I feel for you also you suffer too (my poor Justin). Lets pray this cycle is over.

Enjoy my favorite image from the Three Amigas shoot.
Sooner… than later, Z

Prom 2007 Birthday Party

Justin and I had a great weekend! We celebrated our friend Channa's 30th birthday (Channa you don't look a day over 21). Her husband Andy threw her a prom themed gala. It actually felt like prom. Justin and I were dressed to the nines and went with our friends Geoff and Cassie.
We wore gorgeous corsages and
boutonnières made by my friend Aida at www.motionpictureflowers.com. Cassie and my make-up was done by my sister she returned from her leave of absence temporaly for us, thank you Janea. We looked amazing and the make-up lasted all night (the pictures don’t lie). In the next few weeks I will be writing about the importance of paying for quality services, but I digress I wasn't the photographer so I was free to have a good time and that I did. As much as I love capturing all the moments people miss because they are having a good time, I sometime wish I was having the good times. So the party was great enjoy the pictures I took with my baby camera. It will be a long time be for you see Justin or I all dolled up:)
